Children New Generation —
local NGO in Dnipro, Eastern Ukraine.
Prior to the war in Ukraine, our NGO was working with local children from low-income families. In March 2022, we transformed our children's club into a shelter to accommodate refugees with children and began regular evacuation missions. In 2023, CNG joined UHF’s Protection & Food Security Clusters and got recognition from major donors: World Vision, UNICEF, etc. in the beginning of 2024 CNG and WFP launched a food aid project in Donetsk region, serving 91,000 people/month.

OUR APROACH
TO DISASTER RELIEF
Our mission is to enhance lives through comprehensive recovery and disaster relief. We have evacuated over 4,000 people from conflict zones and now support evacuees and aid those near the front lines, ensuring their basic needs for food, water, and warmth are met.

True recovery starts with a roof, food, and hot water, but we go beyond, fostering community and mutual support. Our inclusive programs create opportunities for growth, especially for children with developmental differences, the elderly, and those displaced by ongoing hostilities.

Our core mission is to enhance the quality of people's lives through a comprehensive approach to recovery and disaster relief. We have successfully evacuated 4,000+ people from conflict zones and now focus on cooperating with other evacuation missions and supporting evacuees within our community.

Our mission is to enhance lives through comprehensive recovery and disaster relief. We have evacuated over 4,000 people from conflict zones and now support evacuees and aid those near the front lines, ensuring their basic needs for food, water, and warmth are met. Additionally, we aid those who continue to live near the front lines, ensuring their basic needs for food, water, and warmth are met.

In January 2024, we joined the World Food Programme’s Ukrainian campaign. CNG is responsible for the distribution of food assistance in Pokrovskiy rayon of Donetsk oblast — the largest single area in the whole WFP’s project in Ukraine.

91,000 food parcels (13 kg each) will be distributed monthly during the whole 2024, covering ~48% of population of Pokrovskiy rayon.

This project has a strategic importance for Ukraine, covering 0.27% of the country’s current population or 0.62% of all people in need.
Our projects
Shelter
Our shelter for IDPs (internally displaced persons) is located in Dnipro, at Nemirovicha-Danchenko street 62 (map). The shelter was launched in September 2022, and by January 2023 its capacity had grown to 136 beds. It is currently one of the biggest (1,000 sq.m.) and most comfortable shelters in Dnipro for permanent and temporary residents.

Every month, 100+ people live in the shelter, of whom 80% are permanent inhabitants and 20% are in transit.

Until the summer of 2023, our team carried out life-saving evacuations from frontline areas in Ukraine, including Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Kherson, helping over 4,000 people reach safety.

After a year of supporting evacuees at our Dnipro shelter, we’ve resumed evacuations from Pokrovsk district in Donetsk. Each day, our team approaches the frontline to help more than 20 individuals rebuild their lives in safer areas. We remain dedicated to providing a lifeline to those in need.
