Monthly Report - September 2025

Monthly Report — SEPTEMBER 2025

In September, our team continued helping where it’s hardest — evacuating families, running shelters, and caring for children who have lost their homes to war.
Each journey, each safe night, each child’s smile reminds us why we keep going: because life must continue.

Key Figures

  • 550 people evacuated, including 159 children and 6 people with disabilities
  • 62 people found safety at our main Shelter in Dnipro
  • 94 people received temporary protection at the Transit Shelter in Stepove
  • 219 calls received through our hotline, including 78 evacuation requests
  • 3,000 loaves of bread delivered to frontline communities

September Highlights

Families Rescued from Pokrovska

In September, we evacuated two large families — 29 people, including 21 children — from Pokrovska community in Dnipropetrovsk region.
After the announcement of mandatory evacuation, they had just hours to leave.
Our bus brought them safely to a transit hub, where they received warmth, food, and support to begin a new life.
“When you look into the eyes of these children, you understand what all this is for.”
We dream of one day having a special children’s evacuation bus — a bus that carries not just safety, but also joy, light, and hope for the road ahead.

Shelters: A Second Home

Our Dnipro Shelter remains home to 62 displaced people — families, elderly, and people with disabilities.
With the support of METRO, food supplies are stable, and repairs and consultations continue.
This month, we hosted children’s activities, a magician’s show, and a trip to the theater — moments of laughter after months of fear.
Our Transit Shelter in Stepove received 94 people, mostly mothers with children.
We installed a dishwasher, restored internet, and organized psychological support with UNICEF, IRS, Proliska, Triangle, and WCK.
“The first night here, I finally slept without fear.” — Svitlana, mother of three from Mezhivska community

DreamCenter: Where Children Learn to Smile Again

Every morning at DreamCenter begins with laughter and play.
The center welcomes 40 children aged 1.8–7, including those with autism spectrum disorders. Fifteen teachers and assistants create a safe and loving environment where children learn to trust the world again.
In September, we held a big celebration for 100 children from Dnipro and Stepove shelters. They shared food, played, and felt — at least for a day — that childhood was back.
Parents visited our Clothing Bank, a free store of new items where families could choose with dignity.
“It looked like a real shop — only without prices, only with love.”
Next goals: open a sensory room, buy new learning materials, and improve the playground.

Emergency Response

A missile strike in Dnipro injured 27 people and destroyed 80 homes.
Together with Proliska, our team provided emergency aid — boarding windows, clearing debris, and delivering essentials.
At the same time, we continued humanitarian deliveries to frontline areas, bringing 3,000 loaves of bread to Bohdanivka and Mezhova.
“Sometimes help is not tons of food — it’s just bread, a ticket, and the words ‘We’re with you.’”
