Monthly Report - APRIL 2025

In April 2025, Children New Generation (CNG) continued to support displaced families across Eastern and Central Ukraine through evacuations, shelter, child-focused programs, and direct aid. This month, we not only continued our fieldwork but also raised awareness and funds for ongoing initiatives like Dreamcenter.

  • 9 minors, 4 individuals with disabilities
Shelters:
  • Transit Shelter 1: 18 people (15 IDPs)
  • Permanent Shelter: 64 people (54 IDPs)
  • Transit Shelter for Mothers and Children: 57 people (all IDPs)

April Highlights

Creative Fundraising: From Coffee Cups to TikTok

In April, we took a bold step in reimagining what fundraising can look like. Instead of focusing solely on grants and major donors, we leaned into creativity, youth-led ideas, and unexpected platforms.
One of the highlights was the opening of our very first charity coffee shop — a project initiated by participants of our Youth Club. Their idea was simple but powerful: even a single cup of coffee can make a difference. The shop not only raises funds for our foundation, but also creates a space where people can connect with our mission, hear stories from the shelters, and contribute in a tangible way.
Meanwhile, something equally inspiring happened online. Our volunteer Serhii Tsap went on TikTok to share the reality of life in our shelters. The response was immediate — viewers sent their support through direct donations, proving that compassion can travel across platforms and borders.
These efforts remind us that fundraising isn’t just about big strategies — it’s also about small actions, community energy, and being open to new ideas. Whether through a livestream or a latte, support can come from anywhere.
Thank you to everyone who finds their own way to give. We’re still fundraising to cover rent, food, and staff for the coming months.

Dignity and Essentials for Transit Shelter Residents

This month, we distributed individual hygiene and food kits to residents of our Transit Shelter. These kits ensure that displaced people — who often arrive with only the clothes on their backs — can care for themselves with dignity.
The kits included personal hygiene items, non-perishable food, and basic necessities. This distribution was made possible thanks to the support of World Central Kitchen, our partner organization.

Autism Awareness and the Work of Dreamcenter

On April 2, World Autism Awareness Day, we shared the stories of neurodivergent children who attend Dreamcenter. We emphasized that the center is not just a therapy space — it's a lifeline for families who struggle to access inclusive support elsewhere.
The post served as both a message of solidarity and a reminder of why Dreamcenter’s work must continue.

Launch of Grant for Evacuation

In April, we began implementing a new evacuation project. The grant allows us to expand our reach and safely relocate even more vulnerable people from frontline areas. The support covers transportation, coordination, and immediate humanitarian needs for evacuees.
This activity is carried out within the framework of the project "Emergency Assistance and Support to Evacuations (EASE)," implemented jointly with the TERA Consortium and funded by the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund (UHF). The TERA Consortium was established by the Team4UA Foundation and includes Vostok SOS as a leading associate partner, with Angels of Salvation Foundation and Coordination Humanitarian Center as consortium members.
We’re grateful to TEAM4UA for enabling us to carry out this essential work.

Looking Ahead

  • Continue evacuations from frontline and high-risk areas
  • Expand Dreamcenter activities and ensure stable funding
  • Provide more hygiene and nutrition support to shelter residents
We thank all our donors, volunteers, and supporters. Your contributions help us protect, uplift, and empower displaced families — every single day.
