Monthly report — May 2023

Results of the foundation's work for May 2023:
  • 91 people resided in the main shelter in Dnipro, of whom 79 were permanent residents.
  • 21 people were evacuated from the Donetsk region, specifically: Chasiv Yar, Kurakhove, Toretsk, Kostyantynivka, Hirnyk, Ostrivs'ke, and Maksymil'yanivka.
  • 1415 packages of food aid were distributed to those in need in Dnipro and the Donetsk region. Samaritan's Purse made a significant contribution with humanitarian aid — a photo report from the food distribution in Dnipro on May 1.
  • 67 children aged 2-11 visited the Dream Center in Dnipro: 40 children in the general group (weekly sessions on Saturdays), 11 children with autism spectrum disorder received a comprehensive range of therapeutic services (sessions with a trainer in the sensory room, sessions with an ABA therapist, sessions with a tutor), and 16 children attended kindergarten daily.   • 149 teenagers aged 12-17 visited the Youth Center in Dnipro: 50 teenagers attended regular meetings and sessions, and another 99 came to the monthly party on May 5.
  • 102 individuals visited the rehabilitation center in Kosiv: 80 children and 22 adults.
  • 58 people attended meetings for the elderly in Dnipro.
In total, in May, a total of over 1,500 people in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions of Ukraine became beneficiaries of our foundation.

News of the month:
  • The rehabilitation center in Pidhorodne has separated from Children New Generation and will continue its development as an independent project.
  • On May 8, Proliska foundation staff conducted a vocational guidance training session at our shelter.
  • On May 16, rehabilitation specialists from Handicap International visited the shelter.

Partners and sponsors:
  • World Vision International — a new partner of the foundation. In May, we won a grant to purchase food for the beneficiaries of the foundation in Dnipro and the Donetsk region. The financial receipt will be reflected in the June report.
  • DanChurchAid — a new partner of the foundation. In May, we won a grant to support the operation of the shelter in Dnipro in June-July 2023. The financial receipt will be reflected in the June report.
  • Helping To Leave a minivan Opel Vivaro for the evacuation team.
  • K12 foundation — daily hot meals provision to the shelter inhabitants starting from May 1.
  • Knabenkantorei Basel — a donation of 128,687 hryvnias ($3,519).
  • IOM — 2 tablets for the foundation's volunteers. With their help, we started collecting more accurate data on the foundation's beneficiaries, as tablets are easy to take on field missions.

In May, we received 447,291 hryvnias ($12,209) in the foundation's bank account and spent 505,791 hryvnias ($13,825).
